Privacy Policy

• Account data — when you sign in with Google: your name, email address and profile photo, provided by Firebase Authentication.
• Library data — your playlists, downloaded-track list, listening history, and preferred reciter per surah. This syncs to your account via Google Firebase Firestore so your library follows you across devices.
• Local storage — playback state (queue, speed, sleep timer), theme preference, and offline downloads are stored in your browser's storage on your device.

Your data is used only to provide Sakeenah's features: showing your library, resuming playback, remembering your reciter choices, and keeping your account working. We do not sell your data. We do not build advertising profiles. There are no ads and no tracking pixels in Sakeenah.

• Firebase (Google) — authentication and data storage for account libraries.
• mp3quran.net — full-surah Quran recitation audio. Playback requests go directly to their servers.
• Al Quran Cloud (api.alquran.cloud / cdn.islamic.network) — Quran text, Hindi translation and verse-by-verse audio.
• Internet Archive — nasheed, lecture and adhkar audio, streamed directly from their servers.
• Audius — community-uploaded nasheed audio for the Nasheeds hub and Reels, filtered for Islamic content.

Sakeenah uses no advertising cookies. Firebase Authentication uses essential cookies to keep you signed in. Library and playback state are kept in your browser's local storage and IndexedDB, and offline audio in IndexedDB on your device only.

You can request deletion of your account data at any time by emailing us. Deleting the app from your device (or clearing site data) removes all locally stored information immediately.
